What happens in counselling?
In the first session, we will take some time to get to know each other. You can share what is bringing you to counselling, and I will explain how I work. There is no pressure — it’s really just a gentle starting point. From there, we go at your pace, exploring what feels important to you, and working together to help you feel more supported and understood
How long does each counselling session last?
Each session usually lasts around 50 minutes, giving us a calm and focused space to talk, reflect, and explore whatever feels important to you
Why might I choose you as my counsellor?
Every counsellor brings something unique to their work. For me, it’s about creating a space that feels truly safe, down-to-earth, and human. I am a counsellor with experience, and I work in a warm, collaborative way — not as an expert who ‘fixes’ you, but as someone who walks alongside you with empathy, curiosity, and care. People often say they feel really seen and heard in our sessions, and that is something I hold with deep respect
Do you offer phone or online sessions?
Yes, I offer both online and phone counselling sessions if that feels more comfortable or convenient for you. It can be a lovely way to connect from the comfort of your own space and still receive the same warmth and support as you would in person.
Are you a qualified professional?
Yes, I’m fully qualified and insured, and I am an accredited member of the BACP. (see link below) This means I follow their professional and ethical guidelines to make sure you get safe, caring, and trustworthy support throughout our work together
