Hello and welcome, my name is Sharon.   Thanks for stopping by. I would love to share a little about who I am and why I do this work.

My journey into counselling began after a life-changing event in my mid-thirties. At that time, I was fortunate to meet a therapist who truly believed in me. He gently challenged my blind spots, helped me recognise unconscious patterns, and supported me in growing my confidence and self-worth. That experience was transformative. It inspired me to change direction, retrain, and give more of myself to others in this city and beyond.  For almost twenty years, I have had the privilege of supporting people through the community model of therapy, walking alongside them during some of life’s most vulnerable moments.

My wish to pass down my experience, wisdom, and knowledge to the next generation of counsellors culminated in becoming a lecturer at the local further education college and women’s centres.

With this extensive background in psychotherapy (I am an accredited therapist with BACP), I have built a professional, ethical and solid foundation for all the work I do. I am a gentle, compassionate, and non-judgmental person who truly believes in a person’s ability to change.   I know how important it is to feel safe, seen, and truly listened to and that is the space I aim to create with everyone I work with.

Lately I have been excited to discover the power of hypnotherapy to unlock real change often more quickly than tradition approaches alone – this is a now treatment I am pleased to be able to offer.

What I feel I bring to my counselling and hypnotherapy practice is a down-to-earth, authentic approach, shaped by the love, laughter and the connection I hold in all my relationships.
